Brand Strategy & Creative Direction in London

If you can't explain what makes you different in one sentence, your customers can't either.

Most brands that struggle with content don't have a content problem. They have a clarity problem. When there's no agreed position, every post is a fresh decision, nothing compounds, and the account ends up looking like four different businesses.

3E Media & Marketing works with brands across London on positioning, messaging and creative direction — the foundation everything else is built on.

What a brand strategy project covers

Positioning. Who you're for, who you're not for, and what you offer that the alternatives don't. The uncomfortable questions, answered properly.

Messaging. How you talk about yourself — the one-liner, the core messages, the tone. So your website, your social, your ads and your team all sound like the same business.

Audience definition. Who you're actually trying to reach, in enough detail to make decisions with. Not "25–45, interested in wellness".

Creative direction. How the brand looks and feels in practice — the visual language your content works within, so a month of posts reads as one brand rather than twelve.

Campaign concepts. The ideas that carry a launch or a season, rather than a feed of disconnected posts.

What you get

A documented strategy you can actually use — one your team, your freelancers and any agency you work with can pick up and act on. Not a slide deck that gets admired once and filed.

What it costs

Brand strategy projects, £750–£2,000, depending on scope and the size of the business.

Campaign concept and creative direction, £750–£1,500, where you need the idea for a specific launch rather than a full strategy.

Both are standalone projects. You don't need a monthly partnership to do one, though most clients who start here go on to one — because once the strategy exists, executing it consistently is the obvious next problem.

Who this works for

Brands about to launch, brands relaunching, and brands who've grown past the identity they started with. It's also the right first step if you've worked with an agency before and the content never quite felt like you — that's usually a brief problem rather than an execution problem.

Common questions

How long does a brand strategy project take?

Typically three to five weeks, depending on scope and how quickly we can get time with the people who know the business. Most of the elapsed time is the thinking and the back-and-forth, not the writing.

Do you design logos?

Brand strategy as we run it covers positioning, messaging and creative direction — the thinking and the visual language. If you need a full identity designed, say so when you enquire and we'll scope it properly rather than pretend it's included.

What's the difference between brand strategy and digital marketing strategy?

They're priced the same and overlap heavily. Brand strategy starts from who you are and works outward to how you show up. Digital marketing strategy starts from the commercial goal and works back to the channels and targeting to hit it. Most projects need some of both, and we'll tell you where the emphasis should sit.

Do we need this before we start content?

Not strictly, and plenty of clients start with content and come to strategy later. But if you've already tried content and it didn't land, the strategy is usually the missing piece rather than the production.

Is it a one-off or ongoing?

A one-off project. It becomes ongoing only in the sense that most clients who do it then want help executing it consistently.

Not sure what you stand for?

That's the work. Tell us where you are and we'll scope it.
