The Swiss Watch Co (UK) Ltd
We've been working with the Swiss Watch Company, also known simply as "watches.co.uk", for over 7 years. The latest work required integrating their new design, supplied by them, with their existing website and to make the site comply with the DDA.
We took the opportunity to also update both the frontend markup and backend scripting used. We stripped a lot of the old markup out, using more modern, standards compliant code, and removed the design elements into CSS stylesheets where is belongs. The underlying PHP scripting was updated with more efficient and secure code. Various parts of the site were also updated to become dynamic to allow the client to even further maintain their own website, as they already can with the main textual content, products for sale and menu/pages.
Improving the code used should not only improve the visitor's experience but also improve the speed of the site as the files have been reduced in size. The layout of the code using semantics will also improve how searc engine spiders 'see' the page and the code too, thus hopefully improving rankings for the site as well.
